Thursday 10/20/2016. Fired up the engine around 3:30pm and motored out of the Redwood Creek Channel into the south bay. Sunny weather and light wind made for some simple sailing (the first in way too long). We dropped anchor at sunset just south of the San Mateo Bridge outside the main shipping channel and took turns at anchor watch throughout the night.
After a sleepier than normal morning, we got to sail for the afternoon in ever-increasing winds.
Overall we had a few things to improve, a great day sailing, a great landing, and a wonderful first shake-down “cruise!” More to come when we actually take off. Check back later. . .
